Woke up early at 5:30 AM. Only got down to 55° inside Clifford with the windows open.
Seen the mule deer around camp this morning. No moose today there.
Left camp at 7:46 AM after checking fluids and Gayla made coffee.
We slowly enjoyed our coffee and made our way to Red Cloud Loop off hwy 191 for a pit stop to let the dogs out and us out.
We made our way through Vernal, Utah then to Roosevelt, Utah. Here is where we normally follow hwy 40 west. This time we decided to take an alternate route on Bluebell Road to Alamont, Utah.
Just past Alamont, Utah is a road to the north to Mountain Home, UT which led to the Ashley National Forest.
That’s right, we got sidetracked.
In my defense, Moon Lake looked interesting to go see.
We made a pass through their campground. It was a very nice campground. It closes next weekend for the season.
We passed on Moon Lake Campground to see what was down road number two.
Yellowstone Recreation Area looked interesting as well, so we went.
This road was really really like a washboard for 10 miles.
Poor decisions make for good stories they say.
This road had several great campgrounds all were a fee as well.
We found ourselves at the end of the road eventually and turned around to snag us a spot at Riverview Campground for $10.
Riverview Campground is right on the Yellowstone River. Beautiful views too.
Gayla finished her weaving project she started two days ago. I took some pictures around the campsite.
It’s peaceful listening to the water flowing in the river.
