Woke up and the sun was starting to come up. Heard coyotes last night. Temps were great after the sun went down.
Left camp around 9:00 AM headed back to I-80 eastbound to Kearney, Nebraska.
Found Mom & Dad’s BBQ. we ordered 2 pounds of beef brisket sliced. Mmm mm it was the best bbq we’ve had on this trip so far. We liked it so much that we ordered 2 more pounds to go with us.
I wanted to stop by Fort Kearney, Nebraska to see it. They weren’t open on Sundays.
We got on a side road and decided to drive it instead of driving on I-80. We’ve seen it many times. The side road we have not.
Ended up going through a bunch of little small towns. Friend, Nebraska was one of them. Found us a free camping at Smith Creek Recreation Area.
Beautiful area just south of I-80. New toilets and pavilion and playground. Fresh drinking water too. Fishing is allowed here. Camp limited to 14 days at this spot.
Gayla did some weaving on her project she’s been working on. Then she started a new project.
