Twas a pleasant night. We slept with the windows open. Was 43° outside but inside was 54°.

We packed up and enjoyed some coffee before heading out of camp at 7:50 AM.

Today was laundry day so we drove into Duchesne, Utah which was a whole 2 miles from camp to Hamilton Laundromat.

Once upon arrival we just kept going down the road. To sketch of a place there.

Made our way through Myton and Roosevelt on hwy 40 eastbound.

Stopped in Vernal for supplies to eat this next week and topped off with water.

Just down the road in Vernal is a laundromat that we have been to back in November 2022. We know it’s worthy of our kind.

Gayla did some weaving while waiting on the laundry to get done.

After leaving the laundromat I noticed a vibration that was new.

We fueled up and I checked underneath Clifford and seen that the U-Joint on the rear driveshaft was missing its dust cover.

I found an auto parts store that had the U-Joint in stock and we went to find campsite nearby.

Back in November 2022 we stayed at McCoy Flats just west of Vernal, Utah. That was our choice this time. Close to town if I needed to come back to exchange anything (assuming I got the wrong part)!

I found us a level-ish spot to do the repair and I proceeded to take out the driveshaft.

To my amazement this was the easiest U-Joint I’ve ever replaced. Two whacks with a hammer and it was out. It took longer to reinstall the driveshaft than it did to replace the U-Joint.

After the repair I had to test drive it so we drove to town to Vernal City Park. They have water there so I could scrub the grease off my hands.

Everything went well with the test drive. Vernal City Park even had a band playing in the pavilion upon our arrival.

After cleaning up a bit Gayla made supper and we proceeded on our way to our original destination at Dinosaur National Monument in Colorado.

WE eventually made with a small detour to a place with no camping.

But we’re here now for the night.

What a day!!!
