We had a good night and watched Fire Country on the kindle. Stayed up way too late.
Woke up to 39° inside Clifford. Gayla turned the heater on around 5:00 AM.
I worked on some video editing while Gayla did her video call.
We left camp rather late in the day at 12:45 pm. We stopped at Yellowstone Campground to let the dogs out. We also tread lightly across tribal land.
Eventually we made it to Al’s Food Town in Duchesne, Utah to pick up some supplies for us and refuel Clifford.
I was ready to be done driving for the day so we went to Juniper Point Campground at Fred Hayes at Starvation Lake State Park.
I cooked up some steak and boiled some eggs for some deviled eggs later this weekend.
This place is also a POTA park for amateur radio. I activated it with 33 unique contacts and 35 contacts total. I was the first person to do digital radio here too and the 10 person to activate this park.
After my activation Gayla and I walked around during sunset and down by the lake.
Evidently this place is frequented with rattlesnakes, scorpions, black widow spiders and coyotes. Gayla is glad we’re not sleeping on the ground anymore.
