Woke up to 57° inside Clifford just before sunrise. It was breezy most of the night too.
Gayla made coffee and we got this day started.
We explored around Washington County State Fishing Lake before we left. There was another side to it. Had a couple of nice campsites over there.
Made out to Marysville, Kansas to drop off some mail.
Eventually we got to Holton, Kansas where we fueled up. Clifford got 10.48 mpg’s.
I had our sights set on Leavenworth State Fishing Lake. We ended arriving here about noontime. I drove around the whole park to scope it out.
It is definitely an older campground with some trashy spots here and there.
We found us a spot in the shade since it’s going to be close to 90°+ today.
Gayla and I walked the dogs and did our best to pick up the trashiness left behind by others.
I cooked us some steaks for dinner and had some avocado and butter to go with.
Had a guy named Charles stop by and wanted to checkout Clifford. He’s got an 83’ ambulance he’s converting to a camper.
Gayla and I just sat outside this evening till it got too dark to see.
Tomorrow Gayla has class to attend.
