The first winter storm of the season hit this week here in Missouri, and we LOVE IT!! For some reason, the cold doesn’t bother us as much as the heat, especially cold with snow. There’s something peaceful about snow that we absolutely love. Most think we are crazy, especially our Florida family. All this snow reminds us of our time in Colorado. We don’t seem to mind the layers of clothes, the occasional frozen pipes, and shoveling snow. Our time in Colorado was much colder, and we have such fond memories. The main thing we look back on and smile is the fact we had NO HEATER CORE in the Jeep in Colorado during February! We would microwave rice socks and hold them in our lap and bought a little heater and plugged it into the invertor Robert has in the Jeep.
Driving around now, is so much warmer. That new heater core that Robert installed last Spring works like a champ. Robert spent some time today defrosting water lines. We had plenty of water in our tank, but since it is supposed to get down to below zero degrees tonight, might as well defrost the hose and the connections and fill the tank more. He’ll bring in the hose for the night to have ready for tomorrow.
Like I said, many find us crazy, but we have a blast with the cold weather.
