Had a great nights sleep last night. Woke up about 6:15 am. Had coffee and walked around the park. Temperature got down to 61°F last night so very comfortable with the windows open. The new bugs screens Gayla made are doing great.
After feeding the dogs we left camp about 8:30 am and made our way to Hastings, Nebraska where we fueled up. Clifford got 11.171 mpg’s.
Still headed north to Grand Island where we got on HWY 2 and went west/northwest for a 150 miles.
Stopped in Valentine, Nebraska at the city park after fueling up. Clifford got 9.56 mpg’s. We had a strong headwind and crosswinds most of the way here.
The Valentine’s city park was very nice. Even had a small campground. $5 per night for a 5 day maximum stay is worth it.
We still had some miles to travel so we got back on the road towards South Dakota.
Made a few turns and ended up in White River, South Dakota at their city park. I know they all can’t be winners but it would be very hard to beat last nights place. This one on the hand was kinda lackluster on the maintenance department of the park. Oh well it’d be a really nice place if they could fix a few things.
Gayla worked on some client projects and I tried to take a nap. That didn’t work.
Oh well. Tomorrow we press on towards them Black Hills.
