Clifford’s Westward Journey has begun ! ! !
We packed up and gave the dogs one more bath before we left Springfield, Missouri at 8:30 am this morning.
Had a pit stop in Pittsburgh, Kansas to let the dogs out and I topped off the diesel tank with our Jerry Cans. Still had some left over from our trip out east in May from Kentucky.
Eventually made our way onto I-35 north around Newton, Kansas. It was there where we actually filled up with diesel fuel. Clifford got 10.135 mpg’s.
The closer we got to Concordia, Kansas the more lightening and clouds we saw.
Stopped at Lovewell State Park just south of Weber, Kansas. It was packed with campers. I kinda figured that it would be since it is still the Fourth of July weekend.
I told Gayla to navigate me to Superior, Nebraska. We had been through here back in September of 2020. I did remember a very nice pack that had free/donation only for camper vehicles only. No tent camping.
We did luck out on the rain. It bifurcated and went around us.
