Woke up well rested at about 6:15 AM. We packed up and had our coffee.

Headed out to explore the area at 8:00 AM.

Stopped by the Petrified Forest Area at 8:22 AM. It was a bit more of a hike than we wanted to do with the dogs. The shortest hike was 3.5 miles round trip.

We made our way towards Theodore Roosevelt National Park and visited the visitor center and let the dogs out.

Gayla wanted to see the auto tour through the park which included the prairie dog town and wild horses.

Parts of the park were closed for repairs on the road so we were unable access them.

It also had amazing views too.

Since embarking upon this journey at 9 am, it took us till about 3:30 pm for us to explore all we needed to on the south corridor.

We made a pit stop at chimney park next to the national park entrance for some shade and let the dogs out.

I noticed that it was time for fuel so we stopped and topped off our tank at the Medora Convenience Store. Clifford got 11.632 mpg’s. Also picked up some beef jerky and some chocolate brownie ice cream to cool us off.

By this point we felt like we needed to find our camp for the night. Once again we headed for Scoria Pit Dispersed Camping where we spent last night. Even got the same free camping spot with amazing views.

We sat outside in the shade and had a decent breeze in the afternoon. Gayla worked on some projects and I did some research on some parts for Clifford.

We watched another amazing sunset that only Charlie Russell could paint!!!
