Woke up to pleasant temperatures. I had a buzzing sound in my ears. It was those midges. Billions of them.

We packed up camp and made coffee and left early to go into Evanston, Wyoming. We needed some provisions for the week coming up so we restocked.

Gayla and I went to the Bear River Rendezvous at Bear River State Park in Evanston. We met up with some people we knew.

Moki gave a speech on period saddles and horse tack used in the fur trade era. I learned a few things too.

It was a small rendezvous that has been going on for 37 years now I believe. Always the weekend before Labor Day weekend.

After the rendezvous we needed fuel for Clifford so we stopped and fueled up before heading towards Fort Bridger area. Clifford got 9.329 mpg’s.

I set course for I-80 eastbound for a bit. We exited at Fort Bridger exit and kept going to Mountains View. Stopped by the post office to drop some mail.

We made our way to the Wasatch National Forest the into the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest at the Wyoming-Utah state line.

We found a camp at 9,500 feet and settled in for the evening. It’s been a great day, little tired from lack of sleep last night but great.
