Woke up later than anticipated. Gayla made coffee. I packed up the Starlink and we were off.

Or so we thought. . .

Clifford cranked and cranked and cranked some more. No starting. I didn’t hear the glow plug relay box cycling on like it should have. I unbolted the passenger front seat and removed it to remove the doghouse from the back of the engine. I traced the main hot wire from the glow plug relay box to circuit breaker by the starting batteries. I found that the circuit breaker was thrown. I had remembered that I hit the circuit breaker switch when we first got here. So it was an easy fix.

Seat and doghouse replaced and Clifford started up just fine.

It took us over an hour to drive the 15 miles back to the ranger station entrance by Bowman Lake. Beautiful drive though.

We stopped at the ranger station and let the dogs out and us out too.

We stopped and looked around at Polebridge, MT. Had a bison burger at the Northern Lights Saloon. Gayla sent off some mail from the post office drop in Polebridge too.

Back on the road now towards Columbia Falls, MT. We had 22 miles of dirt road in front of us.

Eventually we made it to Whitefish, MT. It was really busy place today. Nice area and downtown.

We took hwy 93 out of Whitefish to Star Meadows rd. We stayed on Star Meadows Road for 24 miles. The road was very nice. Not much traffic. The last 10 miles it started getting more narrow. Eventually we made it to our destination at Sylvia Lake in the Flathead National Forest.

Free camping is good. Free camping with a view is great.
