Spent a lot of time with family and visiting. We did have some appointments with the grandson to go to the gym and gymnastics.
Today we resumed our travel plans. Wherever that may be.
Gayla wanted to go visit Hershey, PA. so I guess we’re heading north a bit. Also don’t forget that the solar eclipse is coming up on Monday. We should be up in the area for that event.
We left family about 10 AM and headed north towards Baltimore. Thankfully we went around Baltimore instead of through it.
Needed to make a pit stop at the Pennsylvania welcome center just south of Shrewsbury, PA. Rain was happening here. We had a snack and got back on the road.
Made our way up through York, PA and Harrisburg, PA. Finally stopping at the Hollywood Casino and Race Track. Let the dogs out and Gayla took a nap.
I looked at the map and was longing for something away from the city. I found something in Weiser State Forest. Not too far away.
The road up to Weiser Forest was winding and steep. Very nice drive though.
We found a decent place to park Clifford that wasn’t too off camber and somewhat level. It is a well used forest road with side by sides and logging trucks. We did get a permit to stay here till Friday morning. Although we will be coming and going throughout the week.
We did have some snow flurries today but nothing major. The week is looking pretty good weather wise. Kinda warming up in the 60’s for a few days.
Gayla has been feeling unwell lately and wanted to turn in early and watch some movies. There’s absolutely no cellular signal here so Starlink has been working wonders again.
149.24 – miles driven today.
