Hard to believe we’ve been gone 60 days but it has flown by at times.
We both woke up early (6 AM). Made coffee and got on the road by 7:45 AM. As much as we’d like to stay here at Lower Glady Dispersed Camping, it just didn’t have a clear enough view of the sky for stable internet for Starlink to do video calls. Audio was ok but not video.
We made our way to hwy 33 to Elkins, West Virginia and eventually over to interstate 79 south. And eventually got on to hwy 19 south to Fayetteville, West Virginia.
With a full work week ahead of us (Tuesday through Friday morning) we had to stop for some groceries and fuel ( Clifford got 11.3 mpg’s) before heading down to Army Camp just outside of Prince, West Virginia.
Yes we’ve been here before. We knew that it had plenty of open sky for stable Starlink video calls and chats. It also had plenty of open skies for solar power.
After arriving we had a left setup across from us asking if we had a generator to run our stuff with. I said no we don’t have a generator. She was so pleased to hear that. She had a bad experience with her neighbors next to her running their generator all night.
I did some podcast editing for some clients and Gayla did some business work for the company. She was also happy that I set up the tarp/awning for shade over the picnic table. We also used the EcoFlow Delta 2 to power our computers while we sat outside to work. In turn it was being charged by the sun through the 220w solar panel. It was a quiet generator.
The campground did fill up by the end of the evening. It is a free campground with vault toilets and a few trash receptacles.
It is also nice to go down to the river and cool off too.
