Woke up late. Well, I woke up late. Gayla on the other hand was an early bird. I wanted to be on the road by 8 AM but didn’t get outta bed until 8:30 AM. Oh well.
Eventually on the road by 8:55 AM. We didn’t have far to travel but if the campground was full, I didn’t have a back up plan.
Our drive to Lower Glady Dispersed Camping was very, very scenic, curvy, very steep on a not so wide road. Luckily only met a few other vehicles and they quickly made way for Clifford to squeeze by.
Upon arrival at the Lower Glady Dispersed Camping area it was pretty full. It is a free campground though. We drove through the whole area and found us a great spot to camp. It had been a long drive of a whole hour today.
I setup the Starlink and proceeded to checkout speed test and find the best location for it because we were camped amongst trees. It does work but it does have an interruption about every 55 seconds.
Gayla and I setup the 10×15 tarp/awning for some shade to sit underneath. The temperature did get up to 81°F today.
I did some more finger weaving for about 45 minutes. I gained about an inch more in that time. Gayla worked on some client projects for a bit that didn’t require really stable internet.
Finally the sun went down and we took down the tarp/awning and took tucker for a 1.71 mile walk down the road.
This area is really beautiful.
Tomorrow we’re heading to Army Camp. We’ve been there before and we know we will have stable internet and plenty of solar. Hopefully we will have a space to stay when we get there.
25.46 – miles driven today.
