We stayed at the same campsite on forest road 10019. It was primarily a work day although we did get out and explore some today.
We got up early and drove into Vernal for phone calls with some clients.
Today was a stressful day trying to find strong enough WiFi and internet to get client videos uploaded. First, we were at Ashley Valley Community Park. Then at McDonald’s which was able to get WiFi on the phones but not on the laptop. Third was a success at the Uinta County Library! We were able to get all things uploaded we needed.
After that we had supper again at Grandma Dot’s Deli. They are starting to know us by name there.
We headed back to Ashley National Forest after supper. On the way back, Robert was listening to 20m amateur band and heard W6R in Springfield, Missouri on a special event station for the Route 66. He made contact with them from way out here—906 miles away as the crow flies. The Texas Bug Catcher antenna works just fine and was a good day for ham radio.
We went exploring a bit just past our campsite to Brush Creek Canyon Overlook which was about 2.6 miles past our camp. It was a slow going and rather bumpy ride. At the end of it was a beautiful overlook of the canyon towards the town of Vernal.
Happy to report there are still no oil leaks.
